It all began with a wish. Two years ago, online ebook sales were extremely good. I had a desire to purchase a used camping trailer. The hubs and I talked about it and decided to pay the book credit card off before we started saving for a camper.
Book credit card debt? Yep, one or two years I decided that the answer to big book sales was traveling to a lot of venues. I did have double-duty some of the places I went because I was able to see my boys or friends when we went. Still, the meals, hotels, gas, booth fees, and book restocking costs mounted up.
We did get my name out there and I know it generated continued sales. The hubs looked at the credit card statement and counseled me about stopping the bleeding. I agreed. After that, I went places that were within a couple of hours of my home. That has worked really well. Now, I travel further if I'm asked to speak for a group.
The ebook sales did pay off the credit card debt! Yay! The camper idea was still in my mind. This year I began looking here and there for one. It had to be in really good shape and the right price. We were disappointed more than once.
Monday evening we went for an hour long drive to look at yet another camper. Bingo! Was it too good to be true? Everything worked? Yes! The price was right! No debt went into this purchase! There is even room for the grands. (and their parents if they come along)
It was worth the wait.
