Terry attached the 4X8 to the table to make it wider and for the frame to attach to. Then, he attached 1-2X4 to the table for the rest of the 2X4s to attach to so that the frame could be removed if we decide to use the table for something else. 2 of the 2X4s are for the sides of the frame and 1 is cut in half for the frame ends.
Terry used 2 Hog wire panels-4'X8' and cut them in half. He bent them into an arch that would fit the table. After fastening them onto the boards with steeples, he cut the wire to fit the ends.
You may wonder why we need such sturdy wire over the planting area? Well, we have barn cats that climb on everything and we have high winds that come and go all the time.
We do have potting soil and screening left to put on, but that post is for another day.
