Mama liked Bob Wills, Eddie Arnold, Jim Reeves, and gospel records as well as a stack of 78s. I listened to what Mama liked and sometimes got a 45 of one of the latest songs by the Osmond Brothers or John Denver. We also had a funny song called Humphrey the Camel.
My sister, Geraldine, and her husband, Bob, had it at their house until this week. Bob asked me if I wanted to take it home with me. He is scaling down since Geraldine passed away. We brought it home.
Since it is a large piece of furniture, we wanted it to be something that helped us keep organized and not something that would be in the way. I went to Pinterest for suggestions and found several ideas there. Some people restored the stereo and put in new electronics. That is more involved than we have the ability to do, so we took the route of clearing out all the 'guts' and making it a music storage unit.
Prayer for Today: Lord, thank You for the blessings in my life and for the loved ones remembered in doing this project. You are always near. Thank You for that. Amen.
