From the corner of my eye I saw a stack of aqua just a few inches over. It was a set of the Walmart brand, Mainstay. The plates weren't frilly like the solid color of the ones we were looking at, but I liked the form of the cereal/soup bowl. They were as deep as the floral ones I put in my basket from the P collection. The big plates had a deep lip. (perfect for gravy and biscuits) The salad plates were the same form. The aqua was spot on. In this picture, you can see the floral/print pieces from Pioneer Woman. The big bowls are from the mixing bowl set. (pretty huh?)
The Birthday plaque is an idea from Pinterest. I found the plaque at Alco on clearance and Terry took a wooden clothes rod and sliced it up for me. I painted them, took a permanent marker and put names and dates on them, and got screw-in hook and eyes so they would hang on the right month.
One of my sweet friends got me the work and shop plaque. I get a kick out of it. There are two more shelves that are similar to this one. I'm going to have the hubs put them up there also. The Family plaque may have to find a new spot in the house.
The dishes and things weren't very expensive. Mainstays - $25 for the set. Pioneer Woman things- probably around $75 if not less. I had Christmas money and Birthday money I hadn't spent so...no guilt. It doesn't cost a lot to perk things up a little around the house.
