You know how it is...We're always tougher on the first one. (sorry Steve.) The reason is the weight of the responsibility that this person is depending on you for everything is heavy. You are responsible for everything he takes into his mind and how he responds to life. Your input is good or bad. Your teaching molds how he processes things he learns from others.
I know, you can't force anyone to think the way you do. That is evident with this kid (adult), but I am glad that he does think things through. He does know that the things he learned at his mom and dad's knee were taught with utmost love and devotion. I see the love in his eyes for his dad and me. He is quick to tell us that he loves us. He hugs me back and laughs easily. He is a good man. Happy birthday, darlin'. Mama and Dad love you.
